Cooler Weather, Harsher Skin

autumnleavesIt is wonderful to feel the shifting off summer into fall, the brisk, cool temperature stepping in to provide Autumn the changing colors of the leaves.  Along with this change comes drier skin.  I almost forgot how harsh the cooler temperatures are on the skin, causing the cracking of the skin on the hands, the lips to become more chapped, the inner part of your nose being so dry it can cause a nosebleed, just the more noticeable and annoying trademarks of cooler weather.

autumnbreezeI do live in Vegas, a desert, where it is constantly dry but even when I lived in Montana and Utah, it was even worse on my skin because of the higher elevation from the mountains.  Cooler weather means less moisture.  It is important to apply lotions and creams to protect the skin from becoming damaged by the air and it is even more important to stay hydrated.  Keeping your body full on water and lubed with ultra-moisturizing products, your skin will be able to endure the harsh elements of the cooler weather.
